Charter and private schools do not have to follow the public school calendar or doe's school closure policy for severe weather or emergencies. If your child attends a private, parochial, charter school, nyc early education center (nyceec) or family childcare program, please contact your child’s school for information about their calendar.

If federal holidays fall on saturdays, they will not be.
